Following the passage of the JOBS Act in 2012, “real estate crowdfunding” emerged as a new form of investment that soon became popular among investors looking to diversify their portfolio. Real estate crowdfunding has substantially lowered the investment threshold, giving investors the opportunity to invest with a relatively smaller amount of capital in institutional quality development including residential, commercial and other projects, and profit in the global real estate market.
